New Intake for 2010

Assalamu'alaikum,

We are openning registration for ALIMKids Playgroup on weekdays and ALIMkids Playschool for January 2010.

Here are the details:

Every Monday 10:30am-11:30am: Playgroup 2-3 yrs old (1 hr per week)

Every Tues & Thursday 10:00-11:30am : Playschool 4 yrs old (born 2006)
Twice a week classes.

Mothers or a female guardian is preferred to accompany the children at these classes. If you are not able to make it, please inform us during registration.

New session opened at ALIMKids USJ

Good news! We have opened another session at 1-2pm on Saturdays for new intake. This is suitable for children between 2-3 yrs old. For older children (3.5yrs to 4+), we recommend that you join Level 2 class at 11:45am-12:45pm on Saturday. We still have places available for Level 2.

We are opening registration for our ALIMKids Playgroup LEVEL 2 starting this Saturday 11:45am at ALIMKids Bookshop, USJ. Level 2 is designed for children between 3+ to 4yrs old.


Below are the content of LEVEL 2:
The year round Level 2 of ALIM Kids Playgroup utilizes 6 modules with 8 different units. Each module has its own theme. Throughout each module, our goal is to make the theme come alive for your child, so that he is always completely engaged in his session. Our more unique themes include:

1) Awareness of being a Muslim and the Khalifah of Allah
Basic Islamic teaching:
* Tawheed
* Fiqh – Taharah
* Stories from the Quran
* Stories of the Prophets

2) Literacy and reading readiness:
* Oral language
* Phonological Awareness
* Letter Knowledge
* Print Knowledge

3) Numeracy Concept – Growing with Mathematics
* Numbers and Operations
* Algebra
* Sorting and classifying concrete objects or pictures
* Identifying, describing, creating, copying, and extending patterns of sounds, actions, or objects
* Writing number symbols

4) Active Play
* Constructive play time activities

At the moment, our Level 1 session is full. However, if you are interested to join the playgroup on a weekday do let us know. Insya Allah when we have enough children, we can start the weekday session (tentative Thursday afternoon)

Our sessions

We now have two sessions running at our USJ centre:

SESSION 1: 10:30am - 11:30am : Module 1 (Full class)
SESSION 2: 11:45am - 12:45pm : Module 6

SESSION 2 will complete their Module 6 in two weeks time. After that, they will proceed to Level 2. When we open the registration for Level 2, children who are 4 yrs old can join in if there are space available.

We plan to start a weekday playgroup as well. Tentative time is 3:30-4:30pm. We have not decided on the day yet. If you are interested to join the weekday session, please email us at alimkids@gmail.com or call Lily 016 2955026 / Hani 012 3112400.

We will start when we have at least six children.
